In this episode, Derek and I talk about ways to manage fatigue and optimize recovery from training. Many of these tips just involve well-structured training. Things like avoiding excessive volume, intensity, and frequency, using good form, and incorporating rest days can go a long way. Beyond that, sleep and nutrition also play a big role. Lastly, things you would typically associate with “recovery modalities” – massage, cryotherapy, cold/contrast therapy, static/dynamic compression, etc. can be incorporated as well.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
