Protein Banana Bread
By: Abbey Ostrander
Makes one large loaf or 2 smaller ones
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of old fashion oats
1/2 cup of ground flax seeds
1/2 cup of roughly chopped almonds
5 scoops of MTS Whey Protein (vanilla)
2 cups of no sugar added apple sauce (chunky)
3 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 egg whites
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large mixing bowl combine oats, ground flax seed, chopped almonds, whey protein, cinnamon and baking powder. In a separate bowl mash up bananas and stir in vanilla, egg whites, and apple sauce. Once mixed well, add to the mixing bowl with dry ingredients. Make sure all ingredients are blended together.
Make sure to spray bread pan well, I used spray olive oil. Then place the pan in oven for about 90 minutes depending on the strength of your oven. Test the bread with a tooth pick.
Note: (After about an hour I placed a piece of tin foil over the top to keep it from getting too dark)
