Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
This site is your no-BS resource for building a strong and capable body—one that looks good and actually performs in the real world. Whether you want to lift heavier, look better, or just stop spinning your wheels, you’re in the right place.
I’ve packed this site with my best advice on achieving fitness success. So whether you’re here to read some articles, listen to the podcast, or consider coaching, I’ve got you covered.
Who am I?
I’m Kyle Hunt—dad, fitness coach, author, competitive powerlifter, and host of The Absolute Strength Podcast. I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 15 years, helping people get stronger, leaner, and healthier through smart, personalized training and nutrition strategies.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Fredonia State University, a Master’s in Physical Education and Sport Coaching from Charleston Southern University, and I’m a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.
I started Hunt Fitness back in 2010—before online coaching was mainstream. At the time, I was just a college kid working at a gym, but I knew there had to be a way to help more people without being limited by geography or gym hours. So, I launched my own online coaching business—and I’ve been coaching clients all over the world ever since.
What is Hunt Fitness?
Hunt Fitness is my coaching brand and content hub. Since launching, I’ve worked with high-level athletes, busy professionals, and total beginners alike. These days, most of my clients are dads like me—guys who want to stay strong, look good, and feel great while juggling work, family, and real life.
My approach is simple: no cookie-cutter plans. Everything I do is based on what actually works—individualized training and nutrition strategies backed by real-world experience and evidence-based principles.
If you want a coach who listens, who gets it, and who will hold you accountable while helping you perform at your best—I’m your guy.
Author & Podcast Host
Outside of coaching, I’ve authored several books on training and nutrition—including Bodybuilding for Beginners, which you might’ve seen at Barnes & Noble or Target. It’s the book I wish I had when I was starting out.

I also host The Absolute Strength Podcast, where I interview leading experts and athletes about training, sports performance, nutrition, mindset, and everything in between. If you’re a fan of long-form conversations about all things strength culture, you’ll love it.
